Traditional style mexican take out. I spent the last 25 years in southern California and love mexican food. I was one if the first supporters of the original California burrito. I moved to the midwest about two years ago and have missed mexican food so much, especially California burritos. I found my self on a business trip to DC and found this little shop and low and behold, they have cali burritos! It's not exactly the same, but they are close and it was delicious! I think I'll try to smuggle a few back through the airport with me...The only reason not five stars was due to unfriendly cashier. But hey, I'll take it for a taste of something that takes me home...
This is a hidden gem. I’ve eaten here on numerous occasions, and each time I have a great experience. If you are out and about local or not, you should venture in here. Limited seating, however you can generally find a spot, not a lot of people dine in. If you are out of town, touring the capital area, this is a quick, easy, delicious spot to hit up.I personally enjoy the California Burrito. Check it out if you get a chance! Super quick and easy!
Fairly small but great burrito!
Fast, friendly, and convenient location. Just lacks seating area.
Good food and friendly people. They serve breakfast all day, which I didn't know. They are a short walk from the capital south metro stop and the capital in general. If you're feeling like tacos or delicious omlettes I would highly recommend burrito brothers.
Simple but good menu. Large portions, quality ingredients, reasonable prices. Has California style burritos which is fairly rare in DC.
Passed by on the way to the capitol visitors center and used the time to have a breakfast Burrito. I chose the egg, ham and cheese which was freshly prepared and tasted delicious. The green salsas gave it a nice additional flavor... Great place for a snack when around the capitol.
A short walk to the Capitol. I had the 3 tacos lunch (beef, pork, chicken) with a side of guac and chips. Very fast and tasty. There is limited seating inside, but fortunately was not too busy on a Thursday around noon.
Just visiting the area and needed a quick bite to eat. Suprisingly loved this placed and food. Not a fancy dine in place, but fast fresh food that taste great.
Good food and great service!
Nnn me out and I'll ou8
I love chicken burritos and they make a good one
great quick pickup of an order I called in and delicious food was so good I ate it right there instead of taking it w me ...
My husband works in DC and always raves about the breakfast burritos. Well today he brought me one home and it DID NOT DISAPPOINT! Generously filled and delicious through and through! The potatoes are fire. I will try other items from here for sure can’t wait.
Always good. But knew people didn't follow I'm online instructions
It's a good place for good prices, especially considering the location. As mentioned in the other reviews, there is not a lot of seating and it's a no frills type of location. The prices listed on the maps menu are a little outdated. There is a salsa bar, which is great for dressing up the food a bit.
The service was great but the meat was extremely salty! Great view, limited seating, decent prices.
The burritos were reasonable. I think they gotten better since I've last been there. But their sauces sucks. There's just no kick to them.
Great food and great service. Entrance is shared by a hair salon.
Food was good here, but really no seating inside. I think most people grab and go but just a heads up if you plan on eating here there are about 8 seats inside.
Found this today on the way to another place and had to come back and try it! Prices are reasonable and you get a lot of food. Plus breakfast menu is served all day.
I love it. The queso and chicken bowl was amazing. I enjoyed it forsure. Good authentic Mexican bowls for sure
Good place, good service but not superb
The food taste horrible, I ended up trashing the food after two bites.
Best Burrito I had in my life!! A Burrito full of ground beef, avocados, and french fries keeps you hearty!! If you even want a true burrito experience with authentic latin spice, you come here!!
Burritos are great but like most places in DC the service is WTF. I asked the lady for a burrito with the works. She then proceeded to ask me what I wanted in it. I told her everything. She the proceeds to ask me what toppings I dont want and lists them one by one. I told you I want it all ... the works ??...other than that the food is awesome . The burritos are flavorful and big . Best place for burritos on Capitol hill for sure.
A go to when there's hardly anywhere else to go.
My cousin saw it in our way and he said let’s eat from here I was like hmm! Mexican food here I don’t think it will be good I’m from El Paso and I tried food from Juarez. I gave it a try and I ordered the Quesadilla it’s BATHETIC!!! It gave me a wired feeling in my mouth!
Everyone was so friendly and the burritos were great!
Hole in the wall but charming. Close to capital building. Served normal breakfast item along side Mexican food during am hours. Cheapest meal all week. Would come again for breakfast
If you appreciate tacos of yesteryear, the kind with shredded iceburg lettuce, globs of sour cream and bland salsas (one so smooth it reminded me of baby food), then you've hit the jackpot with this place. There are other places within 15 minutes walk from here that are way better.
For the price, I can't complain about anything. The place is designed mostly for take out. The food is good.
Decent moderately priced California style-esque Mexican food in a very convenient location just one block from the Library of Congress and other national landmarks! We got the California burrito. Very tasty. However, still not comparable to Californian cuisine.
We had Taco salad and burritos and they were very good. Has just a few chairs for eating in. Loved the food. Would have given 4.5 stars unfortunately, I can only give 4 or 5.
A little spot in Capital Hill packed and frequented by employees who works nearby. It has that hole-in-the-wall yet still a chain confusing feel to it. There are 2 high counters to eat in, 4 people each. Food was okay.
The food is all delicious and the workers are friendly.
This place isn't that spectacular. The prices are very unreasonable considering what their competitors (Chipotle and district taco) charge for a burrito. A regular burrito cost me $12 and was smaller and blander than an $9 burrito from Chipotle. The salsas they had were pretty weak as well. The only upside is that it's close to the Hill. If your not pressed for time, your better off walking 3 minutes down the road to get district taco and 5 minutes further if you want Chipotle.
This food is so good and the people are really nice
Good food good staff great place to
Little slice of vacation when I come here. Burritos are very well crafted and with lots of meat. The homemade salsas are also very good. Service is great, very friendly and helpful. Kind of makes me not want to get burritos anywhere else!
This is one of me and my husband's early morning go to spot. The breakfast burrito and bowl is delicious!! Highly recommended.
This spot constantly delivers. They serve good food for affordable rates, there is no waiting time even when they are packed.
Best Breakfast Burritos I've had...and I've been to Mexíco and was stationed in California for 5 years.I had two Steak Egg Cheese Breakfast Burritos with potatoes added. Also had a Huevos Rancheros platter, eggs scrambled. The Burritos were amazing; the Rancheros platter was delicious.Highly recommend.
The staff was nice. I asked for guacamole, salsa (mainly a spicy sauce or salsa) and received okay but bland food.
I had the egg and chorizo breakfast burrito and the small size was the perfect size. It has the perfect amount of spice. The sauces available were all great but the green spicy one was my fave!!
This is the move. Was a little worried about the prices but they came through with the food portions. The burrito I got had some weight to it which I like. Small space to dine in but worth coming here at least for take out. They also have good food selections you won’t typically find at other “Mexican” spots around here. That’s what I’m talking about D.C. give us more places like this!
I ordered the steak and chicken fajita . The menu online says onions and green peppers. There wasn't any in my box. I live to far away to return. The food was very dry and the meat was salty. They make better fajitas at Applebees. I wont be returning.
The food was excellent. Pete’s Diner was closed so we had to find a second option. So glad we stumbled into such Ana amazing establishment. The workers are friendly and the food is amazing. I high recommend this spot to anyone, tourist or other.
I'm from California so I was initially very skeptical of this place. But it has the condiments bar with the salsas, limón, and jalapenos that I'm used to so, I can flavor every bite. The flavors are really good. It's not very spicy at all though which might be good for some. I definitely took at advantage of the hot sauce collection
I absolutely love this place. The food is amazing. Me and my fiance love to walk over on Sunday mornings and grab our respective favorite. The different sizes are great to feed your individual appetite but never disappoint. You have to try it with the plantains over home fries. Both options are good but i i nev realized how great a breakfast burrito could be till i had it with the plantains . Super recommend we will definitely go back as it's quickly become our Sunday favorite 😍
